Program Glitches Need Remedy

The process is fairly user friendly. There are still some minor glitches that need remedy. These include: 1) the block claiming residency on the 1040SR has no question in the process to actually answer the question. I finally found the box under Forms, personal information. 2) Washington State return is not necessary unless you are requesting EIC for WA State, this is a "do" loop that must be addressed to eliminate confusion for less educated and users unsure of the requirements for filing WA State Returns.

Turbo Tax vs Its Deductible and the 10 Month Saga

The program was average overall due to the fac that you discontinued ItsDeductible in October 2025. This unfavorable decision caused a lot of problems for those who utilized the ItsDeductible for the year and then had to find an alternative for the remainder of the year. Add to that, only one program Deductible Duck was able to transfer the data from the 10 months that had already been inputted and then add to their program. Deductible Duck did a yeoman's job in being able to transfer the data into Turbo Tax -however there are a few issues with the Form 8283. A lot of manual entries had to be made because Turbo Tax did not allow some of the data to be transferred. I would have used a different program other than Turbo Tax, but due to the last minute decision by Turbo Tax, my only option was Turbo Tax. I find it irresponsible on Turbo Tax's decision to stop a program used by many for many years and leave us hanging. Again KUDOS to Deductible Duck for saving the day. Deductible Duck is a great program for those of us that like to support those in need and hopefully they will be able to have other alternative tax programs we can use in 2026. Turbo Tax has really disappointed many.

TurboTax is great

Turbo Tax is quick and easy to use. My one concern is that users are charged $20.00 for filing state returns when I thought it was suppose to be free.

2025 Tax Year TurboTax was a disappointment!

I really like using TurboTax to process my federal and state income tax returns. HOWEVER, the trick that was pulled this year (of having to have Windows 11 to process the return was sneaky and underhanded! i feel taking advantage of by Intuit and Microsoft and feel there was a handshake agreement between the two companies to make more money for shareholders. I went out and bought a new computer to process and file my return but when it's no longer compatible with whatever year TurboTax, I will go to a tax company and have them complete my return....bye, bye TurboTax! Additionally, after I learned and was shocked that I needed a 64 bit computer and my 32 bit wouldn't work with TT, I started a return on the internet version. What a piece of junk!!! It was difficult to follow and the "impoting" function is a joke. There are only 6-8 companies available for import and I think I could only use one out of the seven I needed. I will not be going down that route again!!

I've been using turbo since 1998, for a person who is afraid of doing your own taxes this product is for you.It saves everything from year to year which makes it easy to do each year by pulling up what you need the next year. If I can do this, then anyone can do it
