Turbo Tax is very reliable

It would have been completed sooner if I didn't have to purchase a new computer with WINDOWS 11. Other than that it went smoothly.

I like turbotax but it has its problems. I continually got stuck on screens that I could not back out of; the select a foreign country screen for example. I also had trouble loading previous year returns. Downloading tax forms from Schwab and vanguard was a chore. I was never totally certain all the dividends and interest was recorded as additional forms were listed on the screen - I eventually deleted the forms to make it easier for me to see what was entered. Overall this year's software was ok but there was certainly some frustration with it.

Do not like the “download” feature to obtain program. It’s like flying into the unknown without radar… Personally, I prefer the CD or even a thumb drive. Saving information was “iffy” and was a little unsettling because it never gave a confirmation what you saved or when you did it. Please try to refine this feature.

Difficulties

Lost all my information for three tax returns when TT did an update. Could only get one back. Luckily it was the one I needed to file an amendment for. Now having difficulty completely the amendment. Used for many, many years with no problems. Disappointed. Person that helped me in support to recover the 1 tax return was great.
