Good but....

Turbo Tax does a good job with my tax returns, I've been using the desktop software for about 12 years. I am given TT a 2 rating because of two things: 1.) Why do you charge $25 to file my state taxes? Does it really cost you anything to do this? Alternately, if you want to charge for this you should make a version of software that includes as many state filings as federal filings; and 2.) I chose for the first time this year to pay the $25 fee to file my state, and I chose to have it deducted from my refund. Not until I got to right before the returns would be filed was I informed that there was also a $40 processing fee! There was no mention of this way back when I selected the option to file. What it should tell me there is that the fee for filing and paying out of the refund will be $65. This is deceptive advertising! ALL fees should be disclosed at the initial point of decision, not at the final point. This may convince me to change to Block next year.

Turbo tax is good

So far, turbo tax has been pretty easy but I still have my grandkids, daughter and my own to do. I will let you know when I get them filed

I've been using Turbotax since the early 1990's. Yes, it's easy to use with one exception. When it's all done, unfamiliar forms are presented that require correction. For the most part, I'm totally unfamiliar with these forms and they cause confusion. It would be much better if you're showing the form and actually filling it in during the process of answering the questions, or something to that effect. Anyway, I need to know what question was asked that goes to the error presented. Again, I haven't had that much trouble with it. I've been using it for years now.
