Could Be Improved

Turbotax took too long to have the HVAC tax credit form ready. The guidance on Form 8606 is inadequate. Poor guidance on Social Security special situations, such as receiving a lump sum. I am hopeful that the current return is correct, but Turbotax was NOT clear initially.

completed a return made all entries then entire file disappeared/ when clicked on name came up as ne w entry and i had to enter everything again although her name was on top

Download issues prior year

Overall the program is very good. My main issue was the download of prior year turbo tax data stored on my computer into the current year. Process started but never completed, appeared to be in a loop.

Turbo tax easy and fast

Turbo tax was easy to follow, I have used this program for least 20 years or more . I used live tax advice, it was ell worth the time , very helpful

I was not able to install turbo tax on my primary computer. I had to use my backup computer to file my income tax. User help line was not useful

Doesn't work for State and not good for IRA income

The state tax was wrong. I did my taxes on the State's website and it gave me a MUCH different result. I will not buy the state again, it was a waste of time and money.
The IRA entries for Federal are confusing and don't provide any help. Why do they ask for the amount from form 5498 when it isn't available until May? Is it even necessary, I am not over 73, so there is no reason to include this information.

Turbo tax is very disappointing

I waited after having my State of Wisconsin efile rejected until February 13th after the updates to the State were uploaded and resubmitted them only to have them again rejected. I just resubmitted them again and fully expect another rejection which will force me to mail them in after paying $25 for the ability to efile them. Very disappointed, and I would expect to be reimbursed
