Disappointed

As far as the actual tax return completion and efiling, the 2025 version continued to meet my expectations. But I am very disappointed that Turbo Tax dropped It's Deductible from the software without a viable alternative. I will likely look for alternative tax prep software for 2026 after 13 years of Turbo Tax.

The software in some areas require better more information...1099R selections, especially with state entries regarding type.

Turbo Tax is making errors

Something is wrong this year. We are retired and live in PA. Do not work. Have a daughter who lives and works in MD. She did her tax yesterday and feels that her MD return was not correct due to having about the same income but getting a much smaller refund this year. I just did ours and am being told that we own MD $2600. WHY I did not fill in anything on any MD form, so why did turbo tax fill in the MD forms?

Turbotax online vs desktop

I started with online premium, but I was unable to view and print forms on my IMAC. Very frustrating. I then downloaded the desktop version, and all went well. However, I had to renter everything all ove again. The best thing was that it was a lot cheaper.
