Annoying problem

Turbo Tax Deluxe is great, but flawed. For my State of Maryland 502 tax return, there is a deduction for contributions to 529 accounts. The 502 clearly states to attach the 502SU, which is a long list of additions and subtractions. The 529 deductions are one of these. While Turbo Tax has the form with the appropriate information, it is not included in the return to print and file. I did this manually. And for my records, I used Adobe Acrobat to add it to the 502.

Turbo Tax is user friendly

Guidance was more efficient than in prior years. Still had to "find" items, which is why I gave it a 4*.

Estimated payment with Extension was Incorrect

The Estimated Tax Payment with Extension pulled from last year's number when walking through the topics. I had to enter less than the actual amount to get the right amount. When reviewing the forms, the incorrect amount was saved. This could have cost me several thousand dollars in refund.

Unnecessary Changes

Did not like the new format for entering interest, dividends, and stock sales. The old version worked just fine. There was absolutely no reason to change. Leave what works alone.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Windows 11 update frustration

Making some corrections/updates is still tedious!

I am used to Turbo Tax because I have used it for years. But, I still wished there was a way to go directly to the exact page or item that you need to update, instead of having to flip through everything that you have already answered just to get to it.
