everything went smoothly until the final filing. The option to pay for state filing by taking the charge from the federal tax refund was misleading. The pay by credit card option required a PW from what you call the keychain, the location of which was not specified and the PW to find it was also unclear. The person I spoke to didn't know either, but he suggested the one PW I hadn't tried and that worked.

Turbo Tax is generally very good, but needs fix

Turbo Tax has a long-known problem handling 529 to Roth IRA conversions, that really needs to be fixed already. When you enter the 1099-Q, even checking the trustee-to-trustee box, TT doesn't ask if the distribution was a qualified (nontaxable0 529 to Roth conversion, but instead treats it as a taxable distribution. Most people aren't even going to notice that error, and as a result, will be paying substantially too much tax. For my son's return, with a $7K 529 to Roth IRA conversion, TT originally set his tax liability $1,117 too high. Fortunately, I generally know what I am doing, and caught that. But again, most people wouldn't have.

I really like Turbo Tax

Turbo Tax is awesome in extracting additional fees

Why doesn't the Federal and State include efiling? It is an expense to the state to open the mail and scan the return. The state should require Intuit to provide free filing as a condition of have access to the states internet sight. It is further nickel and diming by Intuit

Some confusion

I've been using TT for well over 10 years. I found this year to be a confusing,,i.e. opening and closing and saving. I had to call a representative to get clarification. She, Ashley, was extremely helpful and patient.

You have worst Telephone answering system. I have mentioned for more than last 15 years. As of this date it is still continued.
If do not change your telephone answering system then you deserve F grade, Worst or negative 5 Stars.
