Turbo Tax was Confusing this year

It was difficult to use this year. I downloaded my 1099 info from Wells Fargo Advisors and it came in wrong. I then did it manually and I had double the amounts in some areas. I had trouble editing and finally trashed everything and started over. I am not sure my adoption carryover was correct- I don't think so. Some of the questions asked this year I didn't know the answers to. I guess my interest and dividends were from CA???

Cannot e-file states unless Federal is e-filed

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. In order to include a form TurboTax Deluxe does not support (8997), I cannot e-file my Federal return. And because I cannot e-file my Federal return, TurboTax Deluxe does not allow me to e-file my resident and non-resident state returns. Each state allows e-filing even if the Federal was not e-filed, but TurboTax arbitrarily decided to not support it. A disgrace.

Turbo Tax is very slow.

TurboTax has at least 1 bug.

I was unable to e-file the state return because the return is supposedly for my domestic partner and I cannot change that status to say that the return is for me. Thus I must print it and mail it in. This is a bug. Remember this: All non-trivial programs have at least 1 bug and TurboTax is definitely Non-Trival.

K-1 confusion

I have been. a user. since the software was released. application works great with one exception. The processing of . k-`s is clumsy and difficult to understand..
