2024 Fed and State

Returns were rejected repeatedly and TurboTax said they would fix it and reported that I could file again. Never pointed out what I errors. Very disappointed.

Turbo tax is great except last step not let me out

Why I can not opt out the premium service of defense which I was stuck to pay $45 without way to skip it? I had to log on to Intuit and pay with my Creditcard for state tax e-filing. Just not making any sense. Other than this last step, the program is great and should be five stars.

I like it it but it could do more

I have a complicated return. When I did the review, it came back with 40+ errors. Many of them were things you could have done and saved me the trouble of figuring out what to do to make it go away. And many of them had no impact on the tax due or refunded. So I spent hours sorting through all these issues that made no difference.

TurboTax Usually Works

Importing prior year issues

When I did my 2024 tax return (I had an extension for filing) the 2024 software did not import any data from my 2023 return even though they were on the hard drive. It has always done this in the past. It was very time consuming having to enter so many pieces of information that never change from year to year. Maybe I missed something, but I don't think so.

Turbo Tax 2024 experience is unpleasant.

My original electric transmittal of my Federal and State Tax Return for 2024 were rejected for omitting the PIN number from the Form 1040. I made the correction(s) requested and resubmitted my Tax Returns. Again, my Federal and State Tax Return for 2024 were rejected. This time they requested identity verification in June of 2025. I was unsuccessful at all attempts to provide the required information. It is September 25, 2025 and I will make another attempt at submitting my Federal and State Tax Return for 2024.
