I love Turbo Tax

Good Experience with TurboTax 2024

As usual, it was a good experience. I did notice a few burps along the way such as information from my 2023 return not carrying over accurately to the 2024 return. Some of the questions were not clear and I had to use the information boxes to understand what was actually being asked. But in general I was very happy with the experience and will use the product again

Turbo Tax surely is still a program to be praised.

I have used TurboTax for about 15 years or more and have always been very satisfied with each experience. But somehow this year was different. Somewhere along the way an added income amount appeared from an unknown source. That upped my income by thousands of dollars and calculated my taxes due by a huge amount. Then I filed 1040X and achieved a refund. Some of the processes this year were not quite as step by step as in the past. Also it all had to be downloaded with no disc to save.

Wasted time and money

For two years now Turbo Tax and the IRS disagree on my Adjusted Gross Income. This requires me to have to file by mail. Wasted time and money.

Filed ok but not I can't find the copies.

It worked fine But now I cannot find a copy of the forms on my computer. I just takes me back to a) start over and enter all information or b) check the status of the return (which I know has been accepted so that's worthless. I cannot find a copy of the return anywhere on my computer (I used the downloaded app on a MAC). It's just super frustrating. I don't think I'd ever recommend using the software to any friends because of these constant niggling issues. Since when is saving a copy or being able to search for that copy an issue with tax software. This is just not acceptable.
