Product needs help

New GUI for Interest and Dividends is awful. Too many keystrokes required. How about going back to the clear, plain listing in prior releases.

Great Product Needs Clarification at Times
on May 11, 2025

This is a great product, only it needs section clarification at times, often times a software bug skips whole sections in the state return and then erroneously informs you that you cannot file an e-return, and makes it difficult to correct sections at the end during the evaluation check if you're unfamiliar with with program such as might be the case with the elderly!.
Pros: My employment status changed this year

I've been a customer of TurboTax for over 10 yrs. and have always appreciated their product. For the last couple of years, I have encountered problems accessing prior years returns in order to transport information to the current year's return. This year, I have an even bigger problem when I completed everything through to the e-file stage for Federal Returns as always and then discovered that for some reason, the return was not submitted to the IRS before the deadline. This was very disturbing, but with the help of a very good Customer Support staff person, I have now been able to file my return. I still do not know why it didn't go through the first time.

Elusive E-File Confirmation
on May 12, 2025
Posted by: SW_South Carolina
It was very difficult to determine whether my taxes were e-filed or not. Even after going back 10 days later to see why tax payments were not deducted from my checking and going through the e-file steps a second time, a confirmation screen was visible, but I was unable to print the confirmation that both state and federal taxes are now filed.

We got word from our state that there was an error in our return. Oletha was amazingly helpful in resolving the issue and helped us make the necessary corrections. We so appreciate her help. The product itself is not really simple for those of us without tax knowledge. It's confusing.

been with for yrs and had you there when something popped up till this yr. had a question but the $60 fee stopped me cold in my tracks. I did my fed and state and had a is issue on what print out format to use on the mailing of the Michigan state cause I had 3 sheets. i could not find any info and no one to go to. so i put them in a sheet with all the required forms and sent it in early. I got a letter today from State of Michigan saying " your Retirment and/or pension subtraction was disallowed based on year or birth of the oldest filer, a Michigan standard has been allowed? My Turbo tax say I get back $32 and the letter from Michigan say i Owe 1047 Plus $6 for a total $1,053. I'm calling tomorrow. Where was you when I needed you . oh I rem $60 to talk for a simple question.
