HARDER AND HARDER TO USE EVERY YEAR

Turbo tax becomes more difficult to understand and use. Sometimes it says 1095 is required. When called around and got one. I have no place to enter it. Google search says that it is for my record only. With the $10 Deluxe version credit State filing should be reduced to $15 as it says in the before the e-filing. But at checkout Turbo tax charged me the fund amount of $25.

holes in the program

I thought this return was filed on 4/15 when I prepared it.and the system said iwas successful. I'm not sure what was successful but I think you should have sent an email or text alerting mew that the return wasn't finished or filed or something.

Turbotax crashed on last step delaying my refund

Turbotax crashed on the last step (repeatedly). This was after I filed - the page said that more documentation was required to complete the process after efile was complete- but TT crashed everytime on the last step and did not allow me to complete. As a result, my refund was delayed, since the IRS had to send a letter to me to complete the required documentation (verification). If I could upload a screenshot, I would. What it said was: ven though you e-filed, don't skip this paperwork. These are items required by the government to complete your return. When I pressed the “Print the required forms” button, TT crashed. ALso, the state NM TT return does not easily allow the solar tax rebate - I had to go online and figure out how others did this step. It required emailing the state (and discussing with them how to go about this). Otherwise, I have used TT for years with no real, major issues until this year.

Desktop installation was a nightmare!!!

I've been using desktop Turbotax for over a dozen years and up until now installation was effortless. This year installation was effortless on my laptop but then took over four hrs with 3 "experts" to get the software installed on my desktop in the same room with identical network connectivity. Finally the last rep escalated the problem to a tech rep capable of more than just reading scripts to me that they didn't really understand. He navigated me to a system file and fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes. A waste of time for me and $$ for you.
Then, when I later tried to download the state app on my desktop it said the app was up-to-date (it hadn't been downloaded !!!) and wouldn't download anything. After another unsuccessful 2.25 hrs with another 2 reps I gave up!
