First year for letdown

Very poor guidance for LLC owners. Low level of explanation... Zero mention or recognition of help for Disaster Area Deadline Extension. Needed reassurance that late filing was acceptable. Nope, no mention or help with late filing...

Changes in the 2024 program are awful

I HATE some of the changes Turbo Tax made in 2024!! The one I particularly hate, and bear with me, because it's difficult to describe without the program section in front of me; it relates to the entering of dividends and interest. There is no list of the companies that paid dividends to you the prior year to compare with, and each dividend has to be opened and entered separately instead of seeing a list, and you cannot really tell if your info was entered or not. Also, I have a payer who paid exempt-interest, and the way I had to enter the information, I was never certain that this interest was being entered correctly or saved. The method for entering this information was much clear in past years.
This year, in error, I thought that I had filed electronically, but I actually did not! I didn't discover my error until I realized that my bank account had not been debited. Probably what happened was that I printed my completed returns, but never went back to the completion of the e-file! I think you should indicate at that point that the taxpayer will have the opportunity to print out the returns AFTER the electronic filing has been completed! (or maybe not even present the option of printing the return out at that point, although I realize that some people might want to see what they are filing before they actually commit to filing,) but maybe there could be a warning to the effect of "be sure you've completed your e-file after printing" or something like that.

TTx issues last few years ... this year Turbo Tax 2024 has no simple cut-paste feature.
After 10+yrs ... planning to try someone else for the 2025 "season" .

More clunky than past years.

The box for the efile pin at the end of the process only shows 5 digits but it is a 6 digit number. It was entered correctly early in the process and stored correctly. But it called up part of an old number from a prior year and tried using that at the end. This problem existed last year also. I think a year is enough time to fix somethng this simple. And importing documents from Merril Lynch had to be done (and deleted) several times before it got all the docs correctly. Not sure if this was a ML issue or not. They said they were not having any issues. We have a 2GB connection and it sems to work good all the time and we did it at different times and days so it was not likely a connection issue. Just not as smooth as TT used to be.
