Turbo Tax is awesome; I've used software 10yrs

I am very satisfied with the Tax experts that have assisted me. After the first two rejections by the IRS the Last tax expert was excellent, she found all that was needed to complete my return. so that it was accepted by the IRS.

No IP PIN, No e-file and NO fixing

Needed to enter an ip PIN. When alerted by email and ip pin obtained, I could NOT reenter into Turbo Tax return for e-filing and had to print and mail

Bank Info

This is a long standing issue. When you decide to do a manual, paper submittal of the state tax return, even though the federal was electronic, TurboTax doesn't warn you that it doesn't carry over the direct deposit bank info. More than once I have ended up with a paper check for a refund from the state because the software didn't care to warn me that it didn't bother to carry over the bank information.

Miscalculation

After filing I received a letter from the IRS saying my calculations were incorrect in the penalty for not paying estimated tax area. I had usually gotten a several K refund but on 12/31/24 I did a several $100k stock sale in a taxable fund. Luckily, there was a multi-hundred $ refund check that came with the letter. Used TurboTax for the last 20 years. First time I had an issue. First time I had done a similar transaction.

Great Tax Sofware

I have been using TurboTax for years and the program works great for me. The downloaded version is easier to install because most of the computers today do not have an optical drive.
