Turbo Tax was prompt after I submitted my taxes. I had transposed my husband's SSN and had messed up my driver's license number. I corrected my mistakes and quickly received a response that my taxes had been accepted.

Turbo Tax was OK but the explanations of the different types income and tax deductibles needs to be in an even more simple language.
The review is also a little messed up. It brings you directly to the 1099 form to fix the problem rather than to the question you may have over looked or miss read.

Buggy and not user friendly

Application appears to be buggy. Was unable to read perfectly good W2 PDF; Repeatedly makes errors in importing 1099 forms from Fidelity, repeatedly importing 1099s for different accounts than the ones selected, and making errors in the ones it does import. Had to delete and start import over multiple times. My guess, not able to handle 1099-B which contain numerous trades; probably be re-designed to import summary data rather trying to bring in all the details. Eventually deleted everything and manually entered in required details (for 1099-B in particular) which was faster and more accurate. Experienced similar issues last year and year before. (note to self to skip automated import of my broker 1099s for next year)
Came up with numerous errors on the Review step, related to form 3800, which is unrelated to my taxes and which I was unable to delete. Directions on how to delete the form were inaccurate and unhelpful (at least for the for Intuit Desktop version). Errors could not be addressed manually, but many seemingly disappeared on their own after starting and stopping the app multiple times. Software initially abended multiple times while reviewing remaining 3 issues. It has stopped abending but now does not do anything at all (will not move forward) when I try to review the remaining issues.
