Issues I cannot fix

my state return has been refused 3 times. The reason is that the SS number of the primary filer cannot match unless the amended updated form is checked. there is no amended or updated form to check?

RMD distribution accuracy

Program did not count the entire RMD distribution I took from a regular IRA when I also funded a Roth IRA from that same regular IRA with a portion of the distribution. I had to devise a workaround because Turbo Tax computation was in error and indicated I had failed to take the required RMD and, therefore, a penalty was due. With my workaround Turbo Tax worked fine, although it took too long to develop the workaround.

Turbotax is mostly reliable

Everything was fine except Turbotax did not print all the required forms for mailing my state tax return. Turbotax said the state forms are all I need and printed those. I found out that my state also requires my federal forms to be submitted. I went to my state's revenue department online to check on this, and they do require my federal forms to be submitted also. So, I had to go back into Turbotax and print a copy of my federal return to submit along with my state return.

last minute support was so nice

Needed to call into customer service multiple times. Out of four calls three were good and/or excellent. One CSR's connection was not clear via phone. Just nice to know at last minute on tax day you can call in and get a live body!

TT incorectly identified a State Refund

I reported a glitch in the TT federal tax software last year, and it recurred this year. My State residency is Virginia, and I had rental income in DC. No taxes were withheld by DC. TT however, suggested completing a DC tax return, which I presumed was for paying DC taxes. So, I downloaded the DC TT software, using up my one free State software. Once installed, TT had me complete a form for DC tax refund. This is incorrect as I had no tax withheld by DC and no such data entry was made..

Unable to submit on time due to web page where a credit card must be used timing out. Why not allow for direct payment from return for states?
Also, not a fan of software only. This is quite expensive to not include a disk.
Requiring a nick-name to submit this is really dumb. Many are taken. Went from 3 to 1 stars.
