Double Counted a 1099-R, - incorrect calc

TT double counted a 1099-R form and then decided I needed to have twice the RMD. It then caculated the penalty and the return was filed. Later I found in the community that this is a known bug in TT, and so I had to go back and delete the 1099-r and then re-submit it and the tax was calculated correctly.
I did the amended returns and it was able to efile the Federal but would not allow me to efile the state (Ilinois) even though it said that I should efile it.
I contacted support but they were not able to correct the issue.

Issue with paying for State Tax return

unable to pay for state tax, had to make several calls to find out why it was allowing me enter credit card info for payment, the screen would go directly to error page. stating that payment did not go throughl!!. Finally I spoke to a young man that knew what the issue was and we went through pay by phone instructions which cleared up the issue. However you had to call you guys every single time to pay by phone.... if you are aware of the software problems why was it not fixed???

Absolutely great... to find out I paid probably too much to file it myself for the software. Then on top of that, there are additional fees to file everything at the end. Sound great? nope...

Disappointing

I have been using TurboTax since 2007, both for my business and personal taxes. The software has always been easy to use. This year the software was a bit cumbersome to navigate. But what bothered me the most was the additional fees. I knew I had to pay 25 dollars to submit my state return online, but I didn't know it would cost me 40 dollars to process my refund. Then another 54 dollars to pay my federal taxes with my credit card. I ended up having to mail them both in anyway

Everything went very smoothly when I had a problem and had to call twice and myproblem was solved. I LOVE TURBO TAX BEEN USING ABOUT SIX YEARS AND WOULDN'T USE ANYTHING ELSE!

Turbox Tax is easy to use however, very misleading. I paid to e-file an old return and was not allowed.
