Customer for YEARS but Slight Hiccup This Year

Turbo Tax is my go to software not for many many years and I'm a satisfied customer! However, this year, you let me down. Both of our W-2s brought in an incorrect amount when ingested (from 2 different companies) not providing the correct amount for box 18 which I believe is local wages. Of course, TurboTax found no error when checking before e-filing. Then after filing both Federal And State (Indiana), my state was rejected because box 18 was invalid/incorrect. Sure enough, it was and I had to manually change it. A small hiccup but concerned twice. Once for loading the wrong data and twice for not catching it on your double check that this field could be wrong. It was accepted the second time I submitted it thankfully and all should be well. I will. still consider TurboTax my tax software and will continue to use.

Missing Element

This year when I printed my forms to mail there was no instruction page for the Federal Form. No address provided for where to mail the form. I had to go online and find an address for the IRS that was for my state and my status. A big oversight on TurboTax's part. (the instructions were there for the state form and the address to mail it to)

Growing disappointment

I have used Turbo Tax for many years but now I feel this program has become difficult to use. I found myself fighting with the program and it resulted in the inability to file a timely extension. This resulted in my return being filed a day late. I'm not sure I will continue with your program next year. I used a different program for a prior year return and it was significantly easier to navigate through.

Great stuff with one recommendation

Pretty good, as usual. It was a bit difficult to figure where my SSA-1099 and 1099-R would be entered because those do not appear on the initial Income and Wages page of the app but various other 1099 from reference are listed. Not very intuitive to understand you must scroll through all the others first.

Bad experience with 2024 Desktop version

We had a horrible experience with Turbotax this year. It didn't catch a simple error and our state return was rejected and our owed taxes are now late. It also didn't transfer our information between our federal and two states correctly. Now we are having to amend our state taxes. We have always had good experiences with Turbotax and have used this product for years. We are not sure we will continue to use this program because of the bad experience this year.
