Forms Not Ready for E-Filing

Forms should all be ready when the time is open to efile. This year, Form 8283 was not ready to be efiled and the date changed from 1/27, to 2/6, to 2/13 so far (it is 2/3). This has happened every year with different forms, and there is zero confidence in dates being met based on history. Turbo tax reputation has been hurt by that from long time users who know this isn't acceptable. Turns out the comments showed that the form wasn't a delay from IRS, it was a calculation of 30% AGI that was the change, and your competitors had that resolved and many longtime users retyped their turbo tax info into those tools and submitted. Seems this happens every year with different forms, and for a company who provides the ability to submit electronic tax returns that is a failure of your product.

Beware of required additional payments-steer clear

The software is fine, the demanded microtransactions to actually use the software feels sleazy. A tax software that requires substantial additional payments to actually file your taxes is a classic bait and switch scam.

efile PIN error

For second year in a row - unable to efile because I altered my PIN thinking that it had to match a PIN suppled by the IRS by regular mail. The PINs are already populated when you go to efile and presumably cannot be altered?

Works Fine but Still SLOW

Still accurate, forms available on time this year, but the program is still very clunky and slow after all these years. It also hung up on me several times this year, which is a new and unwelcome twist in the experience.
