TOTAL NIGHTMARE WENT THROUGH ALL THE HOOPS TO EFILE MY 2021 TAXES I AM GETTING A REFUND ON AND YOU WANTED $25 BUT WOULDN'T TAKE IT OUT OF THE REFUND AND IT WILL NOT LET ME MAKE PAYMENT THROUGH CREDIT CARD

TurboTax 2024 is still a good product

TurboTax remains easy enough to use but a note that I clicked on in the 401(k) section caused some consternation. It implied that 401(k) RMDs were not taxable in Hawaii. Although it may have been there before, I must not have clicked on it. I finally found some information on Hawaii's Department of Taxation site but it was confusing and I'm not sure it's applicable. Anyway, I asked the State for clarification and filed my taxes anyway. My one complaint is that the price of e-filing for the State appears to have increased. TurboTax should note that e-filling in Hawaii is free without income limitations, unlike the IRS's free-file which I understand that some tax programs oppose.
On the plus side, it keeps me aware of any tax changes and does the arithmetic for me..

the constant login steps are ridiculous. The timeframe to do taxes vs entering pedantic information is time consuming.
