Audit Protection saved me $3,000.

I've been ruasing TurboTax for over 10 years. My tax situation is relatively simple. The e-filing is great, and the Audit Protection service is outstanding. Last year the IRS sent me a notice for an additional $4,000 payment on my 2023 tax. I contacted Tax Audit right away, and after a few weeks, they managed to reduce that amount to $1,000, saving me $3,000.

hard to find extension screen

It was difficult to navigate how to ask for an extension. We did a "search" but the instructions did not match the screens we were seeing on Turbo Tax.

This software is not for people that are not accountants. You need to understand the laws and regulations of IRS articles... not worth get a CPA.

I've been using Turbotax for about 25+ years; therefore, I highly recommend it. However, occasionally, I noticed it would provide inaccurate running tabulations of the "federal refund" in the upper left corner of the screen while going through the "guide me" tutorials for the first time. Only after I return and go through the Federal Taxes tab again will it correct itself. Overall, great product!

PROBLEMS

I experienced difficulty with the contribution entries. The entry did not show when entered, which caused me to make multiple entries in error. The entries did not show until I clicked on 'done'; I then had to return to the page and delete the multiple entries.

TurboTax Deluxe - Desktop is terrible

The marketing for this app is terrible. I ended up paying more for all the filings, despite purchasing this on the black friday deal, than I would have through the cloud.
To make matters worse, I had everything prepared on January, but like to hold off until tax day to submit in case I'm forgetting something. Loading it up on tax day gave me an update that wiped almost all the work I did.
Both of these things are extremely unacceptable for a large company like this, and cost me a lot of time and money. I will not be going with turbo tax / intuit in the future because of this.
