I feel at home with Turbotax

I have been using Turbotax for more than 20 years. I believe it is a good product. I also have confidence that my taxes are done well and accutely.

TurboTax was a wonderful product circa 2000. It has failed to evolve and has sadly devolved into a scheme to extract add on fees. Charging for the convenience of e-filing a state tax return is absurd.

Nightmare

Nightmare - needed to amend a tax form and could ONLY send via electronic (state laws) and the crappy software would not trigger.

Quirky entry problems this year over the last 30 d

I am a CPA and I have used TurboTax for many years for just a few returns. I had problems with the 2024 tax year on my 4th and final return which was for myself. It no longer would bring up banks, brokers, etc. by clicking on the Edit button to pull in last years information. I did NOT want to Import the information from a collection of companies...I wanted to enter it myself.

Easy and simple to follow, don't know what I would do without it. We've been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years. Very affordable compared to others :)

Turbo Tax- Consistent Product

Love ease of use and... all of the important information the software pulls in automatically... Works well... I'm not a tax expert but.. I kinda know exactly where to go now. Details of my return don't change much from year to year... 2 jobs, Mortgage interest, yada... Only thing I didn't like is... when using AUDIT defense, my credit/debit card DID NOT take in the system... 100% that entry was correct.. Just used different card.
