WA state taxes section needs to be removed

2024 e-filing was a pain. Initially it said I couldn't e-file because I did not fill out State Taxes. I live in a state that does not have state taxes, yet is was there. Never been a problem before, Had to do a search online and many others were complaining about getting the same notice I got. Once I checked will file state taxes later, it went through. There should be something that bypasses this step for states that do not have state taxes or a prompt that tells you to click file later to bypass instead of having to go on line to see what others have tried. I also got a lot of "not responding" when I pressed continue to finish up my file. Never has this before.

TurboTax is fast and easy!

I was able to do my 2024 taxes (Fed and State) in 2 hours. TurboTax is quick and easy to use, it imported my information from last years taxes and it allows me to review as much as I want as I go. It does a final check and e-file was quick and easy. I have used TurboTax for over 25 years, and it just keeps getting better.

Turbo Tax has a bug!

I withdrew more than the RMD amount from my IRA. The amount I entered included cents. The program removed the cents amount, but I included the cents amount when asked "What amount of the IRA withdrawal was the RDM amount. It couldn't reconcile the initial amount without the cents with the one I entered subsequently. BUG!!!

TURBO-TAX NEEDS IMPROVEMENT

i discovered Turbo Tax does not automatically subtract Treasury Bond Interest from your State tax when it transfers data from federal to state. Instead, I must reflect the subtraction amount when completing my state tax. For years I assumed Turbo Tax did this automatically, and when reading comments in the community some said it was done automatically. This has cost me several hundred dollars each year. Why doesn't Turbo Tax tell their customers directly where and when to reflect the subtraction to the interest? I could not confirm this happened automatically so I called in and received the disappointing news that I must post the subtraction myself. I'm sure this has impacted many customers. Turbo Tax must do better to inform the customer when such an action is required. Why wouldn't Turbo Tax post the subtraction in the state tax so the return is accurate? Very disappointing. The Intuit contact I phoned, answered my question immediately and provided outstanding customer support, but Turbo Tax failed to take the necessary action and failed to inform me the action was necessary.
