I have been using Turbo Tax for years but am becoming frustrated with all the extra worksheets and forms you are forced to fill out. There are also an increasing number of bugs and inconsistencies. Customer service is surprisingly ease to access but I'm pretty frustrated before I go that route. For example you just can't fill out Schedule E with information created by the accountant. You are forced to do things like recalculate depreciation by recreating the entire deprecation for each asset when you only have to enter the number supplied by the accountant. It is inconsistent whether you can mark fields to return to and providing supporting details which means you have to maintain your backup outside of the application

Very unhappy - lost money from Roth IRA

Very unhappy with this software. The software predicted our AGI was over the Roth IRA contribution limit and said we would be penalized by 6%, so we filed a "Return of Excess" form and removed funds from our Roth IRAs. When we filed our taxes, we found our AGI was within the allowable contribution limits and we could have kept our Roth IRA contributions alone. So we lost invested money opportunity in our Roth IRAs, wasted a lot of time, and incurred a huge headache. VERY unhappy doesn't even begin to sum it up.
