Great product, minus one star for no Linux version

Easy to use, fast, and accurate. Would be 5 stars if it were available for Linux.

Overall excellent; some annoying glitches linger

Overall, TurboTax Deluxe TY2024 is excellent. I have been using TurboTax versions for well over 20 years, probably closer to 30. It's excellent at walking you through what to enter where (not intuitively obvious!) and doing the math and checking for errors. However, some annoying minor glitches linger from prior years, including:
(1) inconsistent response when entering data (e.g., sometimes records only the first digit of the number you're entering, such as $1.00 instead of $1,000 - you have to check every single entry for accuracy);
(2) still does not warn you that you may need to download a *new* "IRS IP PIN" from the ID.me website *every year* if you aren't receiving this in the mail (IRS has discontinued mailing these for some taxpayers) or your return will be rejected by the IRS (which is how I found this out last year);
(3) sometimes does not respond to removal of an "estimated" flag from certain values - I had to go through gyrations to get past that glitch multiple times during the Review process;
(4) carries over content from previous year's worksheets for some, but not *all* worksheets - it's very convenient to have these details pre-filled so that they can be edited/updates, and very annoying to have to re-type extensive details that did NOT carry over from the previous year;
(5) continues to ask to fill out a state tax return, despite already knowing that I live in a state that does not have an income tax.
Some things I'd like to see:
* Ability to re-size the box that pops-up when adding details to a worksheet; currently, the box remains a fixed size, and longer notes (that fit just fine on an 8.5x11 page) are shrunk down to unreadable size in the data entry box
* Ability to have ALL worksheet notes carry over to the next tax year to minimize the need for re-typing information every year
But, overall, an excellent product that ensures thoroughness!

Great program as usual; a small complaint

Oddly, this year, the program kept demanding a state tax ID number for an employer. Texas has no income tax, and to the best of our knowledge that ID number does not exist (not on the W-2, for example).
Mostly went without a hitch, but took a few hours longer than anticipated.
