Turbo Tax continues to deteriorate

I've been using TurboTax for decades - I started using it on an Apple II+ - for myself and for a couple of friends. I've always liked the product. But, for some reason, over the last 5 or 10 years, it just keeps getting less and less user friendly as time goes on. I just can not express how much this product has deteriorated over time - things like requiring reauthorization after each upgrade (that's been fixed - maybe?), not working right when clicking on an alias to my return, to now, apparently incorrect help instruction (partial payment), incomplete printing of forms I need (form 1040-V not printed, when it says I need it). It's a multitude of little annoyances and slipshod craftsmanship - and this is from someone with 4 to 5 decades of software design/development. There's a serious need for quality review and control. Look, even on this page there is a "submit" button, and then right below a block for optional personal / product information. Does that really pass the test for logic?

I refuse to pay $70 or more for live support because Turbotax won't fix the handling of taxes on foreign dividends from >5 countries

Cannot handle non-standard categories in W2 Box 12

The software is so inflexible, if you're a federal worker, you're basically going to have to fudge it. As a fed, every year in box 12 of my W2, I have a small amount of Deferred 401K like $10 to $20 listed as "D xx" where xx is the last two of the previous year. This year, Box 12b had "D 23 $18.56". Because I already had another D listed for this year, the software refused to allow me to file electronically unless I re-catagorized the "D 23" or (as I did) just delete it.

Constant Upselling; Gets job done.

Way too many upsells. Had two in a row telling me about Audit Check. I hit No Thanks and it gave me exactly the same screen but ON SALE! Not quite EA level of microtransactions.
