TurboTax works well

TurboTax Deluxe worked quite well for my needs which included investments and deductions. However, there were some minor issues. It was advising me to upgrade to Premier which was not needed. I felt like it could have been more proactive on flagging that I had missed some income based on what I had from my 2023 return - which I caught on my own. I was also considering the annual renewal, but when I went to do that, it looked like the price was much higher than I paid for this year's software. They mention a $10 discount for renewing, but ti wasn't at all clear if that was included in the shown price, or would still be deducted, but I decided it was not worth it. But I do plan on using TurboTax again next year.

Pretty good overall, middle of the road DIY. Worthwhile, if you either live in a state with an income tax filing requirement or anything more complicated than a w2. This is the sweet spot in the middle for most adulting, investment, etc. There is a limit; the more complicated the filing, the more bugs you will find.

2024 Turbo Tax Glitch

We have used TurboTax for years. The program is very easy to follow and provides a wealth of advice and knowledge. Unfortunately, this year when we went to submit our returns, we received a transmission error. When I exited the program, the entire tax return was gone- both state and federal. I looked last night for an hour and again today. It was finally found in an obscure file even though I search the computer using the browse button. I thought I had to re-do all of the forms again. It was extremely stressful!

turbo Tax worked after I got into the program

I got it done but had much trouble finding out how to start. i purchased the product at the store and then Intuit did not want to let me in, I fought for almost 2 hours to get into the program and when i finally did it was hard to find how to download the files I needed.

Turbo Tax Unable to E-file

The TT program worked fine until I atempted to sent it off the the IRS. Five times our retuns were rejected.
Now the $20 fee for state return e-filing has been paid but the return was not e-filed. Very frustrated.
