You guys almost have it right.

1.) Difficulty e-filing. If the Federal is too complex then it fails if it fails then State fails. I was charged $20 dollars to e-file my state and was unable to because Federal failed the e-file process. There was not clear direction on how to resolve this as the Return showed no errors. Result, I appear to have been forced to mail both returns and am out $20 for not being able to e-file my state.
2.) I work remotely, and as such would have like to claim my equipment and the software I paid for. However, I work full-time for a separate company remotely. So I don't have my own LLC or my own company. It was not clear how I can deduct the software and equipment I use.
3.) My wife is a surgical nurse and as such we pay for surgical clogs and her "scrubs". Same problem as above, she is not self employed.

They used to be THE go-to but their quality has declined the last 5 years. Now they are bloated, sometimes circular and repetitive and their document upload is buggy. I will be researching alternates for next year.

Horrible disappointment

two glitches in software prevented me from filing online - i.e. what I paid Turbotax for in the first place.
insurmountable loops which would not let me go on - said there were 2 errors - both on topics that I had NOTHING to do with.

Cloud vs CD option not good

Due to lack CD option, this may likely be the last year I will be using Turbo Tax. Too many dropped links, too many confusing references. Many times links steer to some sales presentation, or they just get dropped. Any individuals who have average or weak internet will have many problems with this cloud based interaction. Due to where my PC is located in the house, reliance on the cloud based referencing frustrating. I'll probably go back CD program so that referencing is direct within PC
