Confusing at times

I liked Turbo Tax. However, it is difficult when we have two different people trying to do their taxes. One person was overwriting another person's entry. It might have been operator error - but it would be helpful if the program was easier to understand

Like previous years, I elected to skip all the detailed step-by-step questions and go directly to the categories where I could just fill in numbers from forms received and answer some questions by category. That saves a LOT of time, but I always find by looking at the forms themselves before I file that some field and computations were not done - and I had to fill in additional fields myself.

Turbo Tax can be improved.

I encountered the following issues while entering my tax information and preparing to file:
1. I did not like the interface for summarizing the investment incomes (1099 INT, 1099 DIV, 1099 B) _ i found it difficult and did not give me a clear picture of what information I already included and what's still need to be entered.
2. After I import interest, dividend and brokerage statements from various financial institutions to Turbo Tax, I would like to see the source information (i.e., which imported document was used to fill the forms) in the summary sections.
3. When I choose the "back" (as opposed to "continue") option, the software did not always take me back to the previous sate. This was especially true in the context of the information entered for the various investment options. I found that confusing.
4. I feel that the product was slower (updating, saving, etc). I have been using a windows 10 operating system and did not notice this in previous years. It could be a performance issue with my machine too.
5. In general, I feel the turbo tax software for 2024 is of inferior quality compared to previous years.

Can't tax with it, can't tax without it.

Been using TurboTax for a long time. It seems to get less helpful every year, but we wouldn't be able to do our taxes ourselves without it. (Hence, the seemingly high rating.) I do not like trusting my questions to the online community. The prompts on the walkthrough are confusing at times. I had to go back and make a change to an answer and there was no easy way to do it.

Still Sucks

Every year TurboTax gets worse. Complete disconnect between Federal and State filing process (I paid $20 for State eFiling, but can't eFile my return. No refund of course from TurboTax. Complete disconnect between what you are working on in TurboTax and the help feature(s). TurboTax help website is practically useless.
