TurboTax unhelpful filing paper state return

I had no state tax liability, which TurboTax calculated. I don't wish to file an electronic state return for $25, but the program does not provide paper filing instructions. I'll figure it out, but I think I need to research a different filing program other than TurboTax in the future.

Good with some problems

Difficulty getting financial imported data to load into Turbo Tax. Finally got a live assistant to help me manually input. Also need to better explain information requested on obscure federal forms.

Quite easy to use UNLESS there is a minor question

I use turbotax every year, but at the end it comes up with a question I have no answer for. This time it was the K1, and they wanted something about 199A statement —I had no clue what it wanted, I called my treasurer and he had no clue, I checked the club tax info, no clue, I paid for an expert and even he had to search over half an hour to find a little box I needed to check. There is not enough info about WHAT number is needed — it is frustrating. Especially as the K1 was not even enough income to matter at all.

NJ State return had big problems.

NJ State return had big problems.
1) Took state deduction for Medical Expenses but did not itemize on Fed. So no detail printed on any worksheets or forms.
2) No support for IRA Unrecovered contributions withdrawal exclusions work sheet. Need to do manual entrees.

Not really user friendly. It was hard to locate things that i wanted to revisit and the walk me through everything was much too long for me.
