IT HAS SAVED ME SO MUCH!!! TIME AND ANXIETY FOR 2024. 2024 WAS A VERY DIFFICULT YEAR FOR MANY REASONS. I WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO DO CALCULATIONS AND PLACEMENT OF DATA CORRECTLY WITHOUT TURBOTAX.

TurboTax continues to work, but could be better

Having used TurboTax for over 10 years in multiple states, I'm still very satisfied. My one suggestion for improvement is the major warnings that still exist when filing in a state that doesn't have state income tax. TurboTax implies that you should not proceed without filing state income taxes, yet it should know that based on the information already given there is NO need for me to file in my state (Florida). Yes, I know there are potentially circumstances that would make it so, but that is not the case and the warnings are too aggressive in my opinion.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

TurboTax is Awesome Except for one Software Glitch

TurboTax Deluxe does a great job in directing you on how to fill out the tax forms. However, there is a glitch in the software that does not let you file the California tax return with a credit card. Instead you have to call a TurboTax specialist and get a computer-generated code to pay with a credit card over the phone. The specialist answered the call promptly and fixed the problem, doing a great job.

Too many bugs. May not be worth the hassle.

I guess it is ok, but there are SO many bugs that either don't get fixed until right before tax day (printing from the Mac) or never get fixed at all across multiple years (I can't remember them all, but not knowing that you have to set your home office to have a percentage assigned to it for business use is very basic - and still broken)
