Not the Same

I have used Turbo Tax for years, as in over a decade, and this is the FIRST time that I encountered two, major glitches that lengthened the tax preparation process unnecessarily. One was the addition of Schedule 4 and my being prompted to erroneously correct or complete entries in 'NOL Worksheet Part II, Line 18.' I kept staring at the form in disbelief because there was no (as in zero) entry for NOL on my Federal Return so help me to understand the need for this entry on my Georgia state return. Initially I found no workaround and after a quick Google search, begrudgingly went to the Georgia Department of Revenue to complete the worksheet for years 2017 up to 2023. I even went so far as to print form 500 for those years as well, waste of paper and time. Because I knew there was a mistake somewhere I went back on the entries in my Forms repeatedly, saw no errors and then noticed I could delete Schedule 4. I deleted Schedule 4, signed-out and back in - still the prompt to complete the worksheet. Thankfully I solicited the assistance from ChatGPT and was able to proceed with completing my state return. Everything has an expiration date, and I feel that this experience has prompted me to explore other products for 2025.

where is the confirmation after efiling and submitting electronic check payment. nothing ever says you have successfully sent payment.

1099-R entry & computation error

Entering data from a 2024 form 1099-R, I neglected to select "Taxable amount not determined" box checked. TurboTax decided to omit the entire gross distribution from my income, thus under-reporting income for the year. At the same time, TurboTax retained the Box 4 withholding amount. This would have resulted in a large erroneous refund - if I hadn't gotten suspicious, and discovered the problem. This seems to me to be an error in TurboTax's programming!
