I am still confused

My federal e-file was rejected because TurboTax asked me to make up a PIN related to my AGI so I did. I got an error email explaining what was wrong, but when I went to amend it in the TurboTax software, it took me to a completely different section of the return process. It asked me to write what the problem was within the tax form so I just wrote an apology.

TurboTax once again made filing easy

Overall, very easy to use, especially if having used software previously. Very streamlined. Only real complaint is it would be nice to know how much something needs to be in order to claim it (for example charitable contributions). I find myself spending quite a bit of time listing all my contributions only to see no change in my status. Same thing for out-of-pocket medical expenses. Other than that, TurboTax does a good job of having help/info tabs on items I wasn't sure about.

Fire Whoever Designed and Approved the UI Changes

I've used Turbotax desktop for over 20 years, and the changes to the UI this year in the areas of interest, dividends, and investment were horrendous. Anyone involved in designing this, approving it, and the (obvious) complete lack of beta testing with real users SHOULD BE FIRED. When I say I want to work on one of those types of forms, TAKE ME TO THE LIST OF THOSE FORMS I'VE ENTERED SO FAR. It was incredibly difficult to (1) enter the data in the order I wanted to enter it, and (2) find what I'd already entered later to either continue entering/make updates/check the accuracy. Sometimes the entries seem to have disappeared. Go back to the old UI - honestly, if it looks like this again next year, I'll just be getting a refund and moving to a new platform. It was MUCH harder to do my taxes this year. You are driving me away to other vendors after many years as a customer. Very, very disappointed in the 2024 desktop deluxe version.

I just wish the cost for E-filing State returns were not so much! It was nice getting a $10 deduction from the fee, but a $25 price is way too high!

TurboTax keeps slipping....

I just want to do my and my families taxes like I've done the last 15 years with your software. I don't want to do them online, and I want advise that's useable. I use the downloaded version, and it seems you continue to drive upcharges as much as you can. Just stop and let me use what I paid $79 for.
