Was not as easy this year with the graphics used on the screen ie Income took more time than prior years that way I had to keep scrolling thru all the items from last year. Graphics may look better but did require alot more scrolling.
State of Ca kept looping saying something had to be done but never found it. At least I get a refund and the dollars should be minor

1. No CD and poor instructions made it hard to startup. At least for folks who already bought whatever SW, should be easier to load SW and enter license.
2. Don't want an intuit account that I will likely never use until next year; I will likely forget password and have to reset everything too. Also, privacy is a big thing.
3. Software doesn't always render according to display font size. There's an option to increase font but it's hidden away in the header/footer and not always noticeable; perhaps add color to buttons. Had a hard time reading until I finished taxes and discovered the button which was very tiny for me to see. Also popup window came up using display font size but the popup window isn't resizable so had to deal with scroll bars to read the text in it...
4. There was at least one option preset that I could not undo but forgot where
5. Wish there was a way to replicate previous entries for minor edits specifically in1099-Q.
6. Very convenient to download a W2 in PDF and load it; but shouldn't this apply to all the tax forms?
Rather than trying to assure login info is not getting compromised at different investment/bank websites, there should be a way to decipher standard forms from PDFs since most of these websites allow tax forms to be downloaded and available.
7. Comparison to previous year tax info is useful but is there option for multi-year trending and analysis?
8. Software doesn't detect if husband and wife imports the same dividend info twice; no checks for account numbers or amounts.
9. Application said audit defense was free until April 15, 2025 but when I tried to get it, it wanted my credit card. Seems like false advertising.

Not fixed after years

After years of use, Turbo Tax still struggles with our Married/Filing joint return at the state level. We have income from two states and to get the correct amounts, I still have to fill in the information on our residential state manually. We also had our Federal return rejected because we entered the wrong PIN for our daughter. When I click fix it, it fails to take me to the screen to enter the information. I have to find it manually in the forms mode to enter/fix. It would seem these are basic things Turbo Tax can't seem to get correct. Almost impossible to get a human to answer software questions either.

This year I had to interact with their tax experts. They were helpful, knowledgeable and follow-up was tremendous. I would recommend them if you have any tricky situations.
