The product was difficult to use on our MacBook. The 3 TurboTax experts over the course of days were excellent. The third expert, Christian Burney, was the one who helped us successfully navigate the program and file our taxes.

why did i get a 1040V > FILING & PAYING ONLINE

It is so frustrating to be told to send a 1040V with a check for the same amount as I just paid online. And I have to pay quarterly.

I have used TurboTax since the late 1980's. I have been a devoted user. The experience continues to get worse each year. I have multiple state software so I can do my kids taxes and it was a complete and utter failure. My daughter had to use the online version and it cost her over $250, all because the desktop version I purchased would not work right. I paid for the additional state that did not work and now cannot get my money back. Paid for NY State Twice!

Intuit gets one star for messing up my sign-in experience, even after I send pictures of my drivers license! Thankfully, and the reason it's 1 star and not zero, I got a serious reply from my email to the CEO and they were eager to fix my problems. The Office of the President saved the sale, as I was ready to purchase HR Block's product. Customer Service employee Renee E was very good and helped me get to the download and set up, though I really think they should have given me a free copy for the hassle I went through.
The TurboTax Deluxe edition gets 4 start. There are some not-so-intuitive flows that make it a bit difficult and, somehow, my W-2 from Wells Fargo (yes, that huge bank) wasn't importable. The pic method is good, but I would have rather imported it. Also, I am unwilling to pay to file state taxes, so would prefer that was included.

Poor Software Corrupt files

Software is very intuitive, but I was affected by corrupt files and could not open returns started just a day ago. Also would not recognize my Turbotax files from last year. Never had this issue before and from a google search on how to repair a file it appears this is a major Turbo tax issue with the amount of complaints online. I had to start a complete new return and enter all information. What a waste of time and money on this software. Been using Turbotax since 2003.
