Turbo Tax continues to deliver

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years. I've found it to be very thorough in its prompts when preparing my returns.

2024 edition - everything worked as usual.
As a user, I wish there is a way to see the corresponding form of which the guided interview was processing.
As a user, I wish I could work on the form AND get to the interview questions side by side.
As a user, I wish the help can be more helpful. The AI does not help me except to waste more time

I thought Turbo Tax said our taxes were good to file. They were REJECTED!!!!!!!! Now what do we do? I have no idea what to do to get them filed.

Not User Friendly

This software used to be user friendly and at least let you think that things were happening as you proceeded through your taxes. This year I was working and hoped to see my progress and hope that what I was doing was helping towards my refund. This year, the tax due seemed to show as I was entering income. It never changed. No matter how much I worked towards adding my deductions. The numbers stayed the same. I don't know if it calculated it or not. I don't trust it, but it has to be submitted today so I don't have time to do it all by hand now. It used to show me what my additions did to the amount owed. Now it does not.

Turbo Tax used to be great

Step by Step is clunky. Trying to switch to forms is challenging. The charge to efile a state return is too high. Should also be free. Too many pushes to buy extra items. Don't have all the line item instructions, if they are here they are hidden. Don't like the changes that have happened over the past couple of years. Only reason I continue to use Turbo Tax and haven't switched is file continuity from year to year.
