Bait and switch tactics. You will pay out the nose

Would give zero stars. They charge way too much and hide the costs until everything is complete. I have to pay for state ??????? Oh, now I have to pay to e file state? Find another method.

Hit block wall with 1099-MISC

Spouse got paid a stipend for being in an Essential Tremor research program. They issued 1099-MISC. System took it to be income, requiring Schedule C, but also said it could be claimed as a deduction not income. There is no Business name, type, etc. and CANNOT remove form from Schedule C to re-designate. Will not file with incorrect info so have to file for extension to clear up problem.

I have used TurboTax for over 10 years and each year it is easy to use becasuse format and process has not changed, so once I learned it, it consistently has been alost the exact same app. Easy to use, just follow the steps. E_file is easy.
