Good moderately priced tax program

Easy to use, best if you have been using Turbo Tax for several years as it will help compare previous and prepopulate fields with basic information. Some of the forms are 'clugy' and require manual input and entering zeros or some text before the checker allows the form to be accepted.

TurboTax is overrated and too expensive. The hidden charges are ridiculous and should be stated upfront. Never filing with Turbotax again.

Fees are adding up

I've been a loyal and happy customer for decades, and have recommended TurboTax to my friends. But this may be my last year as I feel it purposely causes confusion to add fees to my return. The "Premium Service" charge is a good example. It took a while to figure out a $45 charge because I opted for pay via federal refund instead of credit card.
BTW, the "Deluxe" version always included a FREE state return; now there's an extra fee for that too :-|
