Time to leave Turbo tax for another provider.

Long time user of turbo tax. Appreciate the automatic form fill from my W2, and 1099 providers. TT no longer provides transparent, easy to choose levels of support. They defaulted to the live assist, with no easy way to opt out once I did the online taxes. I had to revert to downloading to my desktop and redoing my taxes to only pay 80 + 25 filing fee, vs. >$150-160 thru what they opted me into. Deceptive and bait and switch approach. I will be looking for a different software solution next year after 20+ yrs using TT.

TurboTax Didn't Prompt for Information

TurboTax didn't prompt me to enter my IRS ID Pin. Also, I don't remember being prompted to enter 1095-a information. My return was rejected twice as a result of not being prompted. I hope my return will not be rejected again. Thanks

Easy to use for straightforward tax returns

My tax forms are straightforward so I usually have no issues. One suggestion to improve the state filing - it would be convenient if you could include the state tax form instructions. I had a question on the Distribution Codes on a 1099 that was not clear to me based on the TurboTax queries. When I looked up the details in the state tax form instructions online it was obvious how to correctly treat the one of my forms.
