Problems when e-file is rejected

The software doesn't make it easy to resubmit your file if it's rejected and it makes you have to pay for the resubmission of the state filing.

Allows unnecessary fees

I've used TurboTax for quite a few years but this I had to do the taxes for my deceased mother-in-law. I was shown by TurboTax, while entering her tax information, that since she had passed, the state in which she worked (WI) required a form to be attached to her state filing. When it came time to file, I elected to e-File everything, paid for everything, but then was shown a reminder about the need to attach the WI state form required since the taxpayer had passed. I could not find a way to attach the form in TurboTax, and after an internet search learned that TurboTax does not support attaching documents so I would have to mail the WI return. Now I am in the process of trying to get the e-File fee refunded to me. TurboTax knew I needed to attach the supporting form, knew I couldn't do it in TurboTax yet still allowed me to pay the e-File fee for that state (it was only after paying the e-File fee that TurboTax reminded me of the need for that state form attachment). I don't know if I will use TurboTax again.

IP-PIN Error prevents electronic filing

Program will not let me e-file my US return. This is the 3rd year of this problem.It is error 181-1 regarding my ip-pin number which I have updated from IRS.gov.
