Importing from last years' return does not work

I am giving 2 stars because every year I have to manually enter alot of info that is available from my earlier tax returns - which have been done with Turbo Tax. Meaning TurboTax cannot even read the info in last years' file! This is something of a defect. I "should" be able to upload last years' TurboTax file and just have to enter what is new for this year (i.e. new W-2, 1099's, etc) - all other info should already be populated.... I very much like the "upload your W-2" feature which retrieves the info from the pdf... this should be extended to cover all of the other forms one may need to gather info from.

It's pretty easy to use. It could be even better if it just came up and said that I used the Standard deduction the previous year and unless I have some major changes I could just skip to the End after I enter my Tax Forms for Income, INT, DIV. I'm sure you could ask a few reminder questions. Since I'm retired there's not much that will change for me.

You can't even automatically import tax forms without an online account anymore because Intuit wants to be dirty and collect even more data on all of us. What a waste of software. Never using Intuit software again. I'm so ready to file directly with the IRS very soon.

cancel payment on federal return

need to have a way to cancel payment on federal return I went to the IRS
website and paid and now I have to have a stop payment and was overdrawn on my checking account
