Constantly having to reenter the same information. They do not transfer last years information and constantly charge you for everything. Even though you pay for federal and state they charge you for filing both. If you have to pay money to either one they charge you another fee for processing payment. Making changes to forms is very difficult and not user friendly. Turbo Tax literally will stop you from entering data on forms because you did not pay for that form.

TurboTax Needs to Clarify $40 Processing Fee

I just processed my son's federal and state tax returns electronically. When I was at the point to choose whether to pay the processing fee via credit card or deduct the fee from my son's federal refund, Turbotax advised there was another $40 processing fee. My son was anxious to get his return processed. I told him I didn't understand what the $40 fee was for. We both couldn't figure out why it cost more to process the refund than what was stated on a prior screen. No where did it clearly state the $40 fee applied when you choose to have the fees deducted from your federal refund. I would have gladly paid the fee using my credit card to avoid that. This is very upsetting to me.
