its okay

it was easy and fast but sucks i had to pay $80 just for it to tell me i have to mail it and cant e-file. i get its a past w-2 but should have told you in the beginning that e file wasnt available.

Turbotax 2024-Underwhelming!

I was not happy with TurboTax 2024. My installation failed due to my "outdated" Mac Monterey installation. Painfully addressed and defeated that issue. TurboTax now assumes the users are incompetent and only computer automation can be "accurate" for entering data, i.e. automatic downloads of data. Eventually data can be manually entered, "if you must". I may go back to a paid accountant for next year.

Turbo tax instead of a Income Tax Service

Taxes can be mind numbingly complex ... so easy to make a mistake for the average person. I need my adjusted gross income from last year, and although I save all my documents, my last year's tax returns were not at hand. That meant a different filling ... by mail. So, Turbo Tax has been pretty good ... when there aren't any issues. I've been using it for at least 6 or so years now. I do not trust the Income Tax Services in my area ... I no longer have my business accountant. Hopefully, my trust in Turbo Tax is not misplaced.
