Turbo Tax is really great and just follow the pro

Not User Friendly

Turbo tax seems to be harder to use every year. The payment voucher form never appeared for me to print it and I can't find a form that says "payment voucher". Further, even thought I save a PDF and the tax return on Turbo Tax, they are never all there to copy information. I file 5 family returns on this software every year and have done so for many years. The past three years I've experienced these problems. Last year I had to pull up 2021 and redo two returns on the 2022 software to get the return to transfer. I would not have done this if I only needed to file a 1040.

bug - can't file state, stuck in federal cycle

Bug: I completed my federal e-filing and then TurboTax exited when it should have started the filing process for my state taxes. When I reopen TT, it offers to file my federal taxes again - even though I already received email confirmation it was filed. There seems to be no way to get by this and file my state taxes, my only option is to back up and print my returns.

Hidden fees

You have to pay twice because it is extra money to efile at the end. I already paid $35 for each state and then at the very end they force another $25 per state to efile.

TurboTax lobbies to keep taxes terrible

They lobbied to create this terrible system so they could enact rent-seeking on us. I want simpler taxes and they dont. Got charged $25 for them to find me nothing helpful.
