TurboTax Continued to be a Convenient Method

Overall, having used TurboTax for several years, my experience was okay. Some entries had to be re-entered, even though copying them from a previous year should have been sufficient. The Dividend entries were confusing, because getting data directly from a broker should have replaced the need for entries that were previously entered by hand.

Major STATE filing Problem

I got to the final filing steps. Chose Electronic filing of both Federal & State. Federal processed fine and return was excepted. You wanted $ 20 which was fine. BUT! I never got a page to put my credit card information into your system. Thus I am now forced to mail the state return in and I will not get my $2600 state refund direct deposited to my bank account. Also because I did not use electronic filing my refund will be delayed. Because of this problem I will not buy advantage again and may not use Turbo Tax in the future. I am discusted with you.

Download rather than CD was a PAIN. Wasted hours.

Download was big problem. CD was much easier, but you discontinued those. Spent hours getting the download and in the end the reps credited the origilnal order and downloaded a replacement.

Suggested RMD entry improvement

Generally very good. I would like more detailed explanation on how to handle a missed RMD. When posting a 1099R, it would be helpful if one of the selections on the worksheet asked "Is part of this distribution for paying a missed RMD?" Entering the year of the missed RMD and the amount for each year (in case someone missed more than one year) and then entering the information on the applicable year's Form 5329 would be very helpful and clear up some confusion.
