I have been doing my taxes every year with turbo tax since 2012. this year it was not available in the store so I went on -line and SIGNED INTO MY ACCOUNT, did my taxes and it cost me $135.68 for Federal and State.
I then did my Daughter's on-line and it cost me $155.00. Then I did my Son's. He found an email... I downloaded the software to my laptop and it cost him $70.00 then $20.00 to file state electronically. I am very upset that after filing with Turbo tax since 2012. when I signed in on line it did not offer me the discount.

Reliable and easy to use over the years

Have been using TurboTax for 10 years, and am used to the format. I was somewhat surprised that my $45 cost for my state income tax form did not include the filing, and had to pay an additional $20 for the electronic filing.

Fixing errors in connection with FTC inputs is maddening. Description of errors and how to fix are horrible. I ended up deleting and then re-entering 1099-DIV inputs without FTC info, then entered FTC info directly to the 1116 inputs. Similar difficulties with QBI inputs, especially in the carryforward info.
