Too much nickel and diming...

So many hoops to jump through. I used the download version Federal plus State. First, there are numerous places to inadvertently select costly add-ons. No longer a free state e-file. Finally, I wanted to print my returns but there is no longer an option to print just the pages for filing, just the filed pages plus worksheets used, or every potential form. You guessed it- I had to select from the print preview page. There are probably work arounds to all of these, but it should be easier. That and the constant shilling for extra fees, including some that aren't obvious, are deal-breakers for me. I'm moving on next year.

Stupid Prices for Free Services

If I pay a premium for a desktop client then there is no good reason to charge $25 to submit them electronically. California and Federal both have free e-filing. I shouldn't be mailing ANYTHING in 2025 when it's free to file all my tax documents digitally but here I'm doing it to avoid the $25 charge y'all have on state e-filing. Just stupid.

No I don't have a state return now stop asking!

I'm sick and tired of it asking about my State Returns. Why does it continually ask if I want to file when it knows I'm from a state that doesn't file state returns and I have no other returns to file.

I would appreciate the ability to also be able to file state returns without having to complete two different submissions, turbo tax and Cal file which also does not charge to file for more convenience and greater appreciation for the program purchased for use.
