Successful returns but improvements still needed

Successful federal and state returns again this year. Decent software but not excellent software. Ran into one bug/error with message "Hmm... it looks like we've hit a slight snag". Stayed patient, re-did some entries, and finally got it resolved. The same rounding inaccuracies as usual - a few dollars off as a result. Forced some reuse of prior screens and required changes to previously entered income to allocate foreign income and foreign tax to specific countries - not intuitive, difficult, figured out my own workaround for that. Alabama required Fed Form 8283 to be included with my state return this year, but TurboTax omitted it (in theory) because I itemized state but did not itemize federal. Lots of new unwanted spam email from Intuit as a result of now having to register the software.
