Turbo Tax is great!

I have been using Turbo Tax in the past 12 years except 1 year when I hired a tax specialist and 1 year when I worked on my own. It turns out Turbo Tax found more tax breaks for me than either myself or the tax specialist. In fact there was certain tax credit that I didn't hear about it at all when I lived in Portland, Oregon. Were it not for Turbo Tax, I would no doubt have missed that tax credit from Oregon. Besides, Turbo Tax does not make any wrong calculations while people even a tax specialist tend to fail in some calculations. In the only year I hired a tax specialist, I had to point out two errors to her to correct. Further, when there is a question, I can always checked the forms and find details. So in brief, I think Turbo Tax is a great tax software and well worth my purchase. The only thing that I wish Turbo Tax may further improve is that the software occasionally crash or freeze. Tip is to save your tax file in progress, otherwise you may lose your work.

I have used Turbo Tax since 2006. This will be my last year using Turbo Tax. Their fees for filing federal taxes aren't easily found until you get to the point of filing.

Software Declining

TurboTax was harder to use this year. It put me in an endless loop that I could hardly get out of. I've been using this product since it was "MacInTax," and this was not its best year.

TT can be a bit confusing.

TT can be a bit confusing. It may be the fault of the IRS. I had difficulty with getting the states correct. I believe the Hawaii PIT form used by TT may be incorrect with my resource for this belief being ChatGPT. I have no idea which is correct. Since TT says my risk of audit is minimal, I'm going with it.
