2024 Instillation problems

Would not install on the laptop we used last year. Very weird issues installing and updating. Ultimately, we had to install on another laptop. Other than this it was the same reliable TurboTax we have used for years. We are a little afraid this is the beginning of the end for Turbo Tax. Reminds us of how Quicken started to get glitchy until it was unusable. Hopefully this is just a hiccup. We will be buying TurboTax 2025.

JK! Turbo Tax is vile and evil. I hate you you so so much. Offering a "free" version just to get to the end of it and have it tell me i have to pay to have my tax sent off....for $140?????? Out of your MIND! In this day and age? Just because I added two pieces of info you want me to pay 140 DOLLARS?!?!!? Eat it.

Bought to Save Time, Ended Up Wasting More

As a newly registered domestic partner, this was insanely difficult to navigate. I am from California which recognizes RDP. Federal does not recognize it. With TurboTax, the filing status is filled out before even going into the Federal or the State tabs, so in order for me to file correctly, I must file electronically as single, and then file by mail my state as RDP. I followed TurboTax's steps, answered all questions honestly, and selected the recommended options. This led me to file an incorrect federal and state which I will now have to amend.
